More Great Holiday Recipes

On Guard Popcorn

There are two recipes for this fun treat to serve
at your holiday parties, here is one option:

1 cup of un-popped popcorn kernels
1/8 to 1/4 cup of butter
1/8 to 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup
4-5 drops of On Guard
2 drops of cinnamon

While popcorn is popping (preferably in a air popper), melt the butter and then add the syrup and oils. Pour the butter mixture over the popcorn, then shake some salt and ground cinnamon powder over the mixture, adding nuts as an option.

HOLIDAY JOY CHRISTMAS BREAD

Honestly this is my favorite treat lately! If you like Banana Bread and want a new twist on it, try this then share it with your neighbors - they will love it because it tastes like Christmas!

Thanks to Maree Cottam-Loayza for sharing this recipe with us!

Holiday Joy Banana Bread

Beat Together:
1 cup butter
2 cups *sugar
4 eggs
8 TBS milk
1 tsp vanilla
6 large extra ripe bananas...

Add:
3 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt

Beat all together then add 1 Cup chopped nuts of choice (optional)

Add 10-15 drops of doTERRA's Holiday Joy oil blend and beat into mixture
Spray loaf pans and fill with batter

Bake @ 350 degrees for 45 minutes or depending on size of pans. Check middle for doneness.

Enjoy!

*If you are food sensitive, then change up the ingredients to make it your own. In the past, I know Maree has made this bread with agave nectar instead of sugar, the texture is just a little different. The point is to be creative and make holiday treats more flavorable by using doTERRA's CPTG essentail oils in your cooking and baking! Be cautious when using oregano, thyme and cinnamon. Maybe use a toothpick to stir in the oil, instead of dropping it in.

Then again, don't be afraid with some of the other oils because there is nothing better than your food enhanced with pure oils. For example: Whenever I make the Peppermint Brownies, I usually mix the batter up as directed then right before I pour into the pan, I stir in 8 drops of peppermint. If you haven't tried this staple doTERRA party treat, then what a perfect time of year to try and share!!

Any recipes you would like to share that you use doTERRA's CPTG oils in? We would love to hear about them!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

A Healthy, Delicious Thanksgiving Treat with doTERRA Lemon Oil

Raw Strawberry Cheesecake

The following recipe was shared by Erin and Steve, some of our newest team member's from Mission Viejo, California. I have had this cheesecake and actually love it better than the real thing - this is the real thing!

Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

A creamy cheese filling is set on a thin almond flour crust and topped with a sweet strawberry sauce. Refrigeration will give this pie the texture of cream cheese. Use fresh strawberries, if available, otherwise, use whole frozen ones, and defrost before using.
Crust:
1 cup almond meal (whole almonds just ground up to crumbles in a food processor)
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 cup pitted Medjool or other semi-soft dates
Filling:
1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
1/2 cup lemon juice
4 - 6 drops of doterra essential lemon oil :)
1 1/2 cups cashews
3/4 cup filtered water
Seeds from 2 vanilla beans or 2 tablespoons alcohol-free vanilla extract (optional)
Topping:
1 1/2 cups strawberries
To make the crust, combine almond meal, salt and dates into the food processor. Process until all 3 ingredients are uniform and crumbly. Press the crumbly crust into the pie pan and use your fingers to flatten out and smooth the crust into the pan.
Process all the ingredients for the filling in the food processor until it is a creamy, smooth texture. Pour the filling into the pie. Set in the refrigerator so the filling starts to cool and solidify.
Use fresh or thawed out strawberries (or another fruit of your choice) and process the fruit in the food processor until they are the consistency you are looking for as a topping. Some people like their strawberries chunky, and others like it smooth. It is just personal preference. If you like a really sweet topping, you can always add a natural sweetener to the strawberries. Pour the strawberries on top of the pie once the pie has hardened enough in the refrigerator. There is no cooking or baking of this pie. It is raw, healthy, and delicious!!!

doTERRA'n it up!!!

So, is it me, or is November flying by? October was VERY busy and SO outstanding! It was great to see everyone at convention, especially the 600+ who were at our team party (which was standing room only - don't worry, we'll definitely have a much bigger venue next year)! There was so much to take in from convention and I'm learning that there are many (like me) who are still on "overload"!

A lot to learn from an incredible product driven company that doTERRA is. Don't worry, there are many ways we will be sharing and educating in the next year. For example...

By popular demand, we will be holding weekly team conference calls. So, join us every Wednesday at 10:00am (MDT). Each call will be recorded, as the other calls have been in the past. Listen for more education, new ideas, motivation and many other suggestions we can share as a team. It is the same number we have been using for more than a year, which you will find in our team e-letters.

Also, with the holidays coming and a lot of us spending more time in the kitchen, we will be posting recipes each week. If you would like to share, please do!

It has been great going from coast to coast in the last 2 weeks presenting at some of the Post Convention Tour events and seeing many of you! Thank you to those who have, or will be hosting these events. As one of the presenters, it is such a relief to have your support and help!

Boyd is in Taiwan this week, as they are launching the Diamond Club Tour there. We have over 250 from our team who will be a part of that! WOW!

To those on our team who have been busy the last almost 4 months doing the Diamond Club here in the US - you make our team proud! Thanks for all of your effort, hard work, and sacrifice, especially being away from your families!

I hope we all take some time to enjoy what we truly are grateful for this month, and that is... FAMILY!! Without family we wouldn't be able to do what we do - I know I wouldn't be able to!

A big THANKS to ALL of you who are moving forward with us in doTERRA and making success, happiness and great health happening in your lives!
